8 The Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD)

The Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) is a comprehensive Fox School of Business and Management resource focused on preparing students for entry into the professional business environment. This is accomplished through workshops, mentoring and internships that complement the content knowledge/tools taught in the classroom.

8.1 Workshops

In order to take part in the events that are sponsored by the CSPD eg. (Senior Reception, applying for internships or jobs in FoxNet, Spring Connection and mock interview, etc.) you must complete the required Workshops. Workshops are offered a few times a week; visit the CSPD to get a list and location.

8.2 FoxNet

Foxnet is a web-based resume database and recruitment tool designed exclusively for students in the Fox School of Business & Management. Through Foxnet you will complete a student profile, upload your CSPD resume, apply for jobs, schedule interviews with employers and provide feedback about your internship and professional work experience. 8.3 Recruitment Process

Choosing a meaningful and rewarding career is the culmination of your academic experience here at the Fox School. To help you accomplish this, CSPD has built a network of relationships with the Greater Philadelphia business community - and with select companies that recruit nationally - for full time and internship positions.

8.4 On Campus Recruiting (OCR)

CSPD coordinates hundreds of interviews each year for graduating seniors and underclassmen seeking employment. Whether you are seeking a full-time job after graduation or looking to gain experience in your field through a co-op or internship, this is a great opportunity to connect with employers looking to hire Fox students. These interviews are conveniently conducted right here on campus.

8.5 Off-Campus Recruiting / Job Posting System

Many employers are interested in hiring Fox students, but do not have the resources to conduct on-campus interviews. These employing organizations post their job openings on FoxNet, you apply to those that interest you and the resumes are sent directly to the employer. If the company is interested in scheduling an interview, they will contact you directly to make interview arrangements.
