12 Academic and Campus Resources12.1 Student Identification Cards The Office of Student Academic Records produces student ID cards on the Main Campus during New Student Orientation. At other times throughout the semester, the Diamond Dollars Office and the Office of Academic Records produce ID cards. An ID card is needed for entry into buildings, library privileges, and many University services. Confirmation Cards are issued to all enrolled students at the beginning of each new semester and must be carried with the photo ID. Replacement cards are available on the Main Campus in the Diamond Dollars Office, 1910 Liacouras Walk; the Office of Academic Records, Second Floor, Conwell Hall; and the Office of Student Financial Services, Ground Floor, Carnell Hall. The cost of a replacement is $10.00. ID cards also are issued on the Ambler Campus, Tyler Campus, Health Sciences Center, and on scheduled days and times at the Center City Campus.
http://www.library.temple.edu Samuel Paley Library has a collection of close to three million volumes, including an extensive business collection of more than 170,000 volumes, as well as large collections of electronic databases, periodicals, microform materials, reference materials, Temple theses and dissertations, and rare books and manuscripts. For personal assistance with business research, contact the Business Librarian. Help is also available at the Reference Desk in Paley Library at 13th Street and Berks Mall (215-204-8212). The Library Home Page has several “Subject Guides” to Internet resources for the Fox School, and there is a Blackboard Organization, under “Temple Libraries”, with additional resources for business students [no enrollment or password is required to access the “Subject Guides” or the Blackboard Organization]. The Library System has a significant collection of subscription databases. These databases are either FULL-TEXT (all materials that are indexed are online, within the database) or indexes with abstracts. Below are listed databases of particular interest to business students. Extensive print resources are available in the Reference Area in Paley Library These include: Value Line Investment Survey, Standard and Poor's Industry Surveys, Hoover's Handbooks, Best’s Insurance Reports, the Advertising Red Books, sources of industry ratios, and a comprehensive collection of statistical publications on all subjects. For those book titles not owned by Temple’s Libraries, extremely rapid access (two-three days) is available to print materials, from more than 30 cooperating libraries, through the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium's EZ-Borrow Program. Access to this program can be found on the Library Home Page, under “Find Books”. The Free Library of Philadelphia provides access to a substantial amount of
data and information useful to your research. If you do not already have a
library card from the Free Library of Philadelphia, you should get one. You can
apply online and have the card mailed to you within days. The Web address is

http://www.temple.edu/parking/tucc.html 12.4 Office of International Services (OIS) The Temple University Office of International Services provides information and assistance to Temple's nonimmigrant students and scholars. This assistance and advising relates to matters involving United States' governmental regulations affecting non-immigrant foreign students and scholars, settling in and adjusting to the University, and any general concerns which foreign students and scholars may bring to our attention. The Office of International Services also works with the
academic schools and departments, assisting them with various
immigration processes involving the employment of international
faculty and researchers. We also provide orientation programs at
the beginning of each academic term, offer advice and support to
a variety of student nationality or religious organizations, and
serve as a liaison between students, the University, and
sponsoring agencies. 12.5 Inclement Weather / Class Cancellations During the winter months, the University participates in an inclement
weather notification program with the City of Philadelphia and local radio
and television stations. Radio station KYW (1060-AM) broadcasts code
numbers indicating when institutions are closed because of inclement
weather. Television station WTXF (Fox-29) will also broadcast such
institutional closings. Other radio stations, such as WDAS (1480-AM,
105.3-FM), WIOQ (102.1-FM), WUSL (98.9-FM), and WPEN (950-AM), also
include a variety of related announcements regarding inclement weather
closings. 12.6 Radio Broadcast Class Cancellation Numbers The following radio broadcast cancellation numbers are assigned to Temple University. The site is intended for current and prospective BBA in MIS majors. The site is informational only – the information in the site does not supersede existing Temple or Fox School procedures and requirements. If there is a discrepancy, then the official Temple or Fox School source for the information takes priority over the information in this site. The information in this site is updated once a year.
